The purpose of the Fripp Island Architectural Review Board (ARB) is to implement the covenants and carry forth the responsibility of design review as set forth in the Restrictive Covenants of Fripp Island.
The community's developers wrote these covenants to preserve and protect the natural environment of Fripp Island and its tranquil resort. The ARB Guidelines are intended to protect the investment of all property owners and to preserve the peaceful and nourishing environment for visitors and owners.
The Fripp Island ARB derives its authority from the FIPOA covenants. Its members utilize the ARB guidelines to assist in the interpretation of the Fripp Island Property Owners Association Amended and Restated Declaration of Covenants (ARD), as they pertain to architectural design appropriate to the surroundings and the unique conditions of the coastal climate and environment.
